Variations on doom and gloom

In an apartment building that is due for demolition in the district Rotterdam-Zuid, Wunderbaum represents the effects of the crisis. But is this crisis actually a reality? Is the world really going down the drain or do we talk ourselves into it? How will we behave when we are afflicted by disasters that go beyond our imagination?
Natives is rampant, social and physical music theatre about a deteriorating fantasy world, and the pain of feeling uprooted. About the taste of horsemeat, the urge to reproduce and a metro in heavy fog. Remco de Jong and Florentijn Boddendijk are composing live music based on films about the end of time.
Natives will be performed in an empty apartment building in Rotterdam, for 5 weeks, followed by a theatre tour through Belgium and Holland.

NATIVES BUSSERVICE:
For all the performances of Natives in Rotterdam there will be a shuttlebus between the Rotterdamse Schouwburg and the site in Pendrecht.
This bus will leave at 19h15 (on the 10th of September it will leave at 18h35 because of the Keuzecafé), at the Schouwburg. A returnticket costs 4 euros, booking in advance is compulsory, at the box office of the Rotterdamse Schouwburg (0031-10-4118110).
Public transport to the performance site:
Metrostop Slinge (map) is within walking distance. From metrostop Zuidplein you can take bus 68 to Plein 1953 (7 minute walk) or bus 67 to the Krabbendijkestraat (3 minute walk). For an online journey planner see 9292ov.nl
You will be sitting outside, it can be cold, so dress accordingly.
Tickets on site can only be paid for using PIN or creditcard.
